Each year, I have the privilege to be a part of the “All Nations Skate Jam” out in New Albuquerque Mexico. Being the largest festival of it’s kind, this competition brings together Native-American skate companies, youth groups, non-profit organizations, skaters, musicians, dancers, artists, filmmakers, traditional craft vendors, contemporary artists, and many others to it’s skate competition.
What I like best about this festival, is that it provides the youth a central gathering place to meet and celebrate their diverse native cultures while competing in skateboarding. Plus, the culture reminds me of back home… Hawaii!
